What does Moogsoft provide and what is involved?
Moogsoft will provide a systems engineer that will work with you to streamline the process. The steps will include:
- An initial meeting to go over the details such as which data sources to ingest, time commitments, etc. From there we will work with you to set up:
- Early detection: identify a linux or mac server or laptop to install the Moogsoft collector for time-series metrics
- Correlation: select a business application that you want to use for correlation
- Workflow automation: based on the creation of an incident, automatically notify or create a ticket (ex. JIRA, ServiceNow)
- Notification and collaboration: select an outbound tool such as Slack or PagerDuty

Does it require 3 full days of time?
No. Everything can be done in a single day or spread over multiple days. We can be flexible to fit your availability, so it’s really up to you.
What if I can’t get access to data sources?
Not to worry, we can provide sample data to simulate a real world environment.

What if I cannot get access to outbound ticketing, notification or collaboration tools?
The goal is to show you how the entire process works. If you cannot access one of these tools, we can provide one.
What Moogsoft expects from us?
Very little. Depending on what you have access to, this can be done very quickly. While using your real data is the best situation, we can use sample data as an alternative.
